Men's Hockey World Cup

This month it's the Men's Hockey World Cup! Lots of you might play hockey at school and/or for a club and so this is a chance to watch the world's best players in action.

 
 

The competition is taking place in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, India and starts on 13th January. 16 countries have qualified: Argentina, South Africa, Australia, England, Wales, France, India, Spain, New Zealand, Chile, Netherlands, Malaysia, Belgium, Korea,  Germany and Japan.

 
 

Unfortunately, England and Wales have been drawn to play against one another in their first match which is on the first day of the competition.  They also have India and Spain in their group.

Belgium, Germany, Japan, Korea

POOL C

Chile, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand

POOL D

England, India, Spain, Wales

Australia currently top the stats with the most goals scored in a World Cup and the most matches won.
