Ice Skating at Somerset House
Skate is back at Somerset House in London.
You might have visited this annual, wonderful ice rink at the start of the school holidays but, if not, it is still open until January 15th.
In the courtyard of Somerset house, in the heart of London, complete with a 40 ft Christmas Tree, the ice rink is a wonderful place for family and friends to visit.
There's a Skate School for those new to ice skating which includes a new series of professional coaching lessons for adults and children. There's also a special Kids Club that allows children aged 6-10 the chance to skate safely in their own skate session with stabilisers and ice marshals checking on progress.
Want to head down with a group of friends? There's Skate Mate for groups of 4-15 to skate together.
As always, Hotel Chocolat's Chocmobile will be on site serving delicious chocolate drinks and treats. There's also lots of other delicious food on offer from traditional Swiss Fondue to Winter Swiss Mess - meringue, whipped cream and fresh berries.
Prices are £10-22 for adults and £7.50-£11 for children including skate hire. Family tickets for one adult and three children or two adults and two children allows you to get a 10% discount. However, there will be a booking fee and apparently prices may vary during the opening times..so use this as a guide only.
Thank you to the team at Somerset House for the information in this article.
