Women's Six Nations

The low down on the TikTok Women’s Six Nations

The TikTok Women’s Six Nation’s gets underway this month, and for the first time in the history of the competition it has a title sponsorship from TikTok. So get your best TikTok dances ready, you are in for a fun few weeks!

The competition lasts for five weeks and will see three games played each weekend – so plenty of rugby for you to watch! Here at bsporty we wanted to give you a sneak preview of the players you should be keeping a keen eye on throughout the tournament.

Sadia Kabeya, England.

Sadia is only 19-years-old and is for sure one we think you should be keeping an eye on. She currently plays rugby at Loughborough Lightning, and is fairly new to international rugby, but has already been earmarked to be a strong player in the tournament.

Jasmine Joyce, Wales.

Jasmine is that quick, if you blink you might just miss her. She has been playing really well in the Allianz Premier 15’s for her current team Bristol Bears and is also an Olympian too! Alongside rugby Jasmine is also a teacher but is well known for her on pitch try saving tackles.

Poppy Cleall, England.

Poppy is a fantastic player to watch throughout the tournament, she currently plays for Saracen’s rugby club and is well know amongst the women’s rugby world. As well as her brilliant on pitch talent, Poppy does great things for moving the sport forward and challenging brands with gender inequality. If that wasn’t enough, she was also named as the 2021 Women’s Six Nation’s player of the tournament too!

Nichola Fryday, Ireland.

Nichola has recently been named captain for the Ireland side, and we can’t wait to see how she leads the team over the next few weeks. She has some big shoes to fill as the previous Ireland women’s team captain Ciara Griffin was really well known.

Don’t forget, we are running a Dream XV competition across the tournament. All you need to do to win a signed Gilbert rugby ball from the nation of your choice is pop together your dream team of 15 players from the men’s or women’s competition, or perhaps a mixed team. Once you have done that, send the team across to us at bsportyuk@gmail.com with ‘Six Nations Dream XV’ as the title and with the permission and contact details of your parent or teacher.
