Adaptive Surfing Hub

The first official Adaptive Surfing Hub is opening this month on 21st April in Croyde, Devon!

Following a brilliant collaboration between Surfing England, The Wave Project and the South West Surf School, this hub will offer a 'centre of excellence' for people with disabilities to surf thanks to the exceptionally trained coaches and high standard adaptive surfing equipment.

The Wave Project is a charity which has been running adaptive surfing lessons since 2012 and now offers over 150 lessons a year. To have this hub recognised by the sports governing body, Surfing England, is a huge boost to disability surfing.

The new hub will help beginners as well as those wishing to train and progress to compete as para surfers. It will be an exciting place to train as well as to socialise.

Thank you to Surfing England for the information and photos in this article
