The VNC (Virtual Netball Club) has kept netball fans and players across the country engaged with their exclusive interviews and live training sessions. With the kit bags ready, outdoor netball in the community can now return!
Have you heard of the Vitality Netball Superleague? The Superleague is the UK elite level netball competition, featuring eleven teams from England, Scotland and Wales and over 3,000 goals have been scored so far!
The top 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs, with Team Bath topping the table at present with 7 out of 7 wins. Loughborough Lightning are in second losing just to Team Bath in the first match.
Wasps Netball, Saracens Mavericks and Manchester Thunder (Winners in 2019) are fighting for that 3rd and 4th spot, with Saracens and Manchester having only played 6 out of the 7 games.
With Round 9 due Easter weekend we will have to wait until the 27th June for the Grand Finale, leaving us with a fantastic 11 weeks left of live Netball.
Mary Cholhok (Loughborough Lightning) is the league’s top scorer with an impressive 262 goals scored.
England Netball is also offering you a chance to design a netball.
The person who comes up with the best ball design will win 15 of those netballs for their club to enjoy.
This can be a ball custom designed with you or your club in mind, and with no limit on colours and patterns, the choice on how it looks really is yours! Get your club involved and include your team logo on your ball design so you can stand out from rival teams.
To enter simply download the ball template here, complete your designs, take a photo and enter by emailing them over to gilbertballdesign@englandnetball.co.uk
