Sailing

The summer term is here and we are sure many of you will already have the long holidays in mind! Getting out on the water this summer and sailing is a fantastic way to learn new skills, make friends and to gain confidence. The RYA - sailing’s National Governing Body - has some great advice on getting started as well as Performance Pathway opportunities for already confident sailors (see the end of this article to find out more).

Get OnBoard

For 8-18 year olds the Get OnBoard scheme is a great place to start. No experience is required  and the basics can be learnt easily in a couple of weeks or over  a number of  sessions.

As well as making friends and having heaps of fun, you will learn to  sail  at affordable sessions with expert instructors and learn skills for life. Find out more about RYA OnBoard at rya.org.uk/onboard
