Festival of Sport

As you all know, we love sport and firmly believe that there is a sport for everyone - you just need to find it. So we were delighted to attend the Festival of Sport on the beautifully sunny weekend of 12th-14th September which was all about participation, fun and inspiring children to love sport! The bsporty team joined families, sporting legends, coaches, sports organisations and sports charities at the wonderful Holkham Estate in North Norfolk for the incredible Festival of Sport.

The whole weekend was centred around allowing children from 5-17 to play a vast variety of different sports. There were sports as far as the eye could see and everyone got the chance to do as much as they wanted. Each sport had brilliant coaches, including legends like Kate Richardson-Walsh for hockey and Andrew Strauss for cricket, who focussed on not only teaching, but also developing talents that children already had and recommending how to continue with a sport if a child had really enjoyed it.

The sports on offer ranged from cricket, rugby, football, hockey and netball to boxing, judo, dodgeball, trampolining, wheels extreme and kayaking with lots of others in between. All the children were grouped in ages and moved from sport to sport and the parents also had the opportunity to take part in sports themselves.

There was camping and glamping on site, delicious food from visiting food vans, an outdoor cinema, live band and disco. It really was a brilliant weekend of fun, sport and happy faces everywhere.

We were delighted to meet one of our Young Reporters, Georgia, with her family and the Golf Young Ambassadors as well as the incredible charities, the Youth Sport Trust, Matt Hampson Foundation and Brave Mind who do so much for young people through sport.

We will let you know as soon as we hear about the ticket release date for next year's event as we cannot recommend it enough. Hope to see lots of you there! We can't wait!
