This month, due to amateur snooker waiting for the green light to reopen again, we are looking at some new elite young players joining the professional World Snooker Tour for the coming season.

Sean Maddocks

Sean is 18 and from Liverpool and started to play snooker aged 10.

He won the Merseyside Open aged 15 and this year he reached the final of the World Snooker Federation (WSF) Junior Open in Malta as well as the European U18 Championship in Portugal.

 
 

Gao Yang

Aged 15 (he turns 16 in September) Gao Yang is from the Anhui Province of Southern China and joins the World Snooker Tour next season.

He won the WSF Junior Open in Malta this year beating Sean Maddocks in the final.

 
 

Iulian Boiko

Aged 14 (15 in September) and from the Ukraine, Iulian won his first big title in March this year in the final of the EBSA Six Red European Championship.

 
 

Bulcsú Révész

Bulcsú is from Hungary and their youngest ever national champion. He won the Hungarian Championship in December 2019 aged 12!

He is now 13 and reached the last 32 at the WSF Junior Open in Malta and the quarter finals at the U18 European Championships.
