March:

Winter Paralympics -

The world’s best winter sport para athletes compete this month in Beijing.

Women’s Six Nations begins -

A huge competition in women’s rugby. England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy compete.

Women’s Cricket World Cup -

Postponed from 2021, the World Cup will take place in New Zealand 4th March- 3rd April with eight of the World’s best cricket nations competing. England, India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the West Indies.


April:

Masters Golf -

4th - 10th in Augusta, Florida.

Grand National -

The most famous horse race in the world with some of the biggest jumps! Aintree racecourse.

Invictus Games -

Taking place in The Hague this year and created by Prince Harry, injured ex servicemen and women compete.

World Snooker Championships


May:

FINA World Championships -

These are the World Championships for aquatic sports - swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming and water polo. This year they will take place in Fukuoka, Japan 13th - 29th May.

French Open -

One of the biggest tennis competitions of the year held in Paris at Roland Garros.

Monaco Grand Prix -

Racing Formula 1 cars through the streets of Monte Carlo, Monaco - in our opinion it’s the highlight of the F1 calendar.


June:

U.S Women’s Open Golf

Men’s U.S Open Golf -

This golf competition of 72 holes is open to amateur and professional golfers and has been held every year since 1895.

Polo in the park -

10th, 11th and 12th June at Hurlingham Park, London teams representing six cities from around the world compete over the three days.

Wimbledon -

In our opinion the most iconic tennis tournament! The best tennis players, strawberries and cream and lots of excitement!

Le Mans 24 hr -

The 90th endurance race taking place near the town of Le Mans, France. Drivers race very fast cars for 24 hours! The race was first run in 1923.


July:

Commonwealth Games -

This year it will be held in Birmingham, from 28th July to 8th August. The Commonwealth Games feature sports men and women from 72 nations and territories countries from across the Commonwealth. They compete in an array of sports - swimming and diving, cricket, gymnastics and athletics, badminton, basketball and wheelchair basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, cycling, hockey, judo, lawn bowls and para lawn bowls, netball, rugby sevens squash, table tennis and para table tennis, triathlon and para triathlon, weightlifting and wrestling.

The U.K F1 race.

Tour de France -

The most famous cycling road race held in France, but occasionally running through other countries too.

UEFA Women’s Euros -

At stadiums across England from 6th - 31st July. Sixteen women’s football teams will compete.

Group A: England, Austria, Norway, Northern Ireland

Group B: Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland

Group C: Netherlands, Sweden, Russia, Switzerland

Group D: France, Italy, Belgium, Iceland.
